Fantasy Action Towerborne to Exit Early Access in February with New Content

Towerborne, the adventure from Stoic Studio and Xbox Game Studios, will exit early access on February 26, 2026. In addition to Xbox and PC, the project will also be available on PlayStation 5.

The launch will be accompanied by a significant update that completely overhauls the gameplay experience. A key change will be the transition from a free-to-play model to a paid one. The base version will cost $24.99, while the Deluxe edition will be $29.99. In return, the game will be available for offline play without a constant internet connection.

The updated version 1.0 will feature a full-fledged storyline with a main antagonist, additional quests, and a reworked difficulty system, including a new "Brutal" level. Developers recommend starting over, although progress from early access will be retained.

As noted by Game Director Daniel McLaren and Design Director Shana Markham, the story was initially secondary, but thanks to player feedback, it has been significantly expanded and deepened.
