Fallout 76 Developers Prepare February Update to Address Recent Issues
The Fallout 76 team announced they are actively working on a new update aimed at fixing a number of issues that appeared after a recent patch. Over the past few days, the specialists have thoroughly analyzed player reports and identified key problems requiring prompt resolution. The update is scheduled for release in the first week of February.
Among the top priorities are fixes for several noticeable bugs. For instance, the developers intend to repair the empty build menu that appears due to applying a specific skin to a C.A.M.P. module. They also plan to stabilize the "New" category in the Pip-Boy, which was exhibiting unstable behavior.
Another issue concerns the Grunt and Head Hunts quests. Currently, only 1-star level enemies appear in them, which does not meet player expectations. Furthermore, they need to address the problem with C.A.M.P. items purchased for Gold Bullion: they are not appearing in the game, causing inconvenience for users. It is equally important to fix the situation with Cryo status effects and damage, which are currently not being applied to enemies.
Simultaneously, the team continues to investigate other community reports. In particular, complaints about armor not working correctly are being reviewed, for example, resistances not activating until the player re-equips the armor. There are also reports of increased character vulnerability in the Burning Springs region — many note feeling excessively "fragile" in battles there.
The developers also clarified a couple of changes that were mistakenly omitted from the last update's patch notes.
- First, a new level 4-star legendary mod called "Charged" has been added to the Gleaming Depths raid. It is intended exclusively for melee weapons: the mod builds up a charge with regular attacks and then allows releasing explosive damage with a power attack.
- Second, the Dom Pedro weapon has received two new mods — Reflex Sight and Long Barrel, available to all owners of this weapon.
Separately, the team announced the temporary disabling of the weekly raid challenge. The reason is technical failures that caused the challenge to automatically complete, depriving players of the opportunity to receive rewards.
The developers thanked the community for their patience during the investigation and promised to clarify the exact date and time of the update's release soon.
