In its blog, Electronic Arts shared plans for The Sims 4 and The Sims series. More than half of the team is already working on the "next evolution" of the fourth installment. However, whether this will be a remake, a remaster, or something else remains unknown for now. The developers promised to share news in the coming months.

The same article mentioned the online game Project Rene and hinted at a new single-player simulator. Possibly the one that surfaced online under the codename The Sims Project X. Unfortunately, this is definitely not The Sims 5, which EA decided not to make at all.

The company also reminded that the series and all its spin-offs will continue to adhere to their core values, regardless of any changes. This refers to the transition of Electronic Arts into the hands of the Saudi Arabian Sovereign Wealth Fund.

It is worth recalling that The Sims 4 was released on September 2, 2014, and has garnered 87% positive reviews on Steam. Currently, the simulator is available on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.
