Diabloid Crystalfall throws you into a scarred world left behind after a mysterious asteroid crash. It’s a free, steampunk-flavored action RPG where you play mutant survivors — mutated humans, i.e., people who have adapted in strange ways — and pick your way through hazardous wastelands.
CRG studio nods to the classics but doesn’t copy them outright. Skills appear as trophies and bring along procedurally generated skill trees, so collecting one can actually change how your character grows. Equipment behaves oddly, too: weapons and armor carry affixes that can upend an item's base stats, encouraging weird combos (e.g., a pistol + shield or dual staves). That kind of tinkering feels intentionally risky — sometimes it works, sometimes it explodes spectacularly.
The game is slated for Steam Early Access on March 20, 2026. Pre-registration is already open on the official website, and signing up grants in-game bonuses at launch.
