Not great timing: CRG studio says the Early Access for Crystalfall originally slated for March 20 will now begin on April 10. Their server provider was bought by another company, forcing a rapid migration of the network architecture to a different platform — a last-minute move that, as the team admits, disrupted the schedule.
The data transfer took longer than anyone expected and there wasn’t time to run proper stress tests, i.e., the team couldn’t validate load behavior under realistic conditions. Rather than risk a bumpy launch, the developers chose to postpone until the infrastructure is stable enough for players to connect reliably.
They thanked the community for patience and noted the extra days will be used to finish network code and run the necessary checks so launch-day mishaps are less likely (ETA: April 10).
