The Labor Court rejected the petition from dismissed Rockstar Games employees. Otherwise, they would have been reinstated with pay and had their visas restored until the end of the hearings.

The reason for the refusal was the lack of evidence indicating that the dismissals were in any way related to union activity. For example, three of the "castaways" were not members of the organization because they resided in Canada.

Rockstar, for its part, reiterated that the layoffs were a "necessary measure" aimed at combating leaks. Which, however, still could not be avoided.

We note that the rejection of the petition for temporary protection does not at all mean a victory for the studio. Perhaps union representatives will still be able to influence the judge's decision with other facts.

As for GTA 6, its release on PS5 and Xbox Series is scheduled for November 19, 2026. The crime action game will receive an official Russian language translation.
