Marvel is preparing solo films about Wolverine and Scarlet Witch
Film insider Daniel Richtman shared information about Marvel Studios' prospective plans within the new "Mutant Saga." According to his data, the large-scale story arc will begin after the release of "Avengers: Secret Wars" and will include both team and solo projects dedicated to mutants.
Among the presumed films is a new solo film about Wolverine. However, as Richtman clarified, another significant project will join it: a solo film about Scarlet Witch. The character portrayed by Elizabeth Olsen has been present in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for a long time but has yet to receive her own solo film. If the information is confirmed, it will become a long-awaited event for the heroine's numerous fans.
Currently, details of the future project are being kept secret. It is unknown when exactly the film might be released; there is no information about the script or the film crew. The storylines that will form the basis of the film have also not been revealed yet.
The last time audiences could see Scarlet Witch was in the film "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness," released in 2022. Since then, fans have actively discussed possible directions for the development of her story, and rumors about a solo project have significantly heightened interest in the future of the cinematic universe.
No official comments from Marvel representatives have been received yet, so all information remains at the level of insider data. Nevertheless, given the scale of the announced "Mutant Saga," the appearance of solo films about key characters seems like a quite logical stage in the evolution of the franchise.
