Cooperative STARSEEKER: Astroneer Expeditions Launches in Early Access on June 11

Developers from System Era Softworks and publisher Devolver Digital announced that a new cooperative title set in the ASTRONEER universe, STARSEEKER: Astroneer Expeditions, will arrive in early access on June 11. Price: $29.99. There’s also a public playtest beginning June 4 across all platforms; progress from that test carries over into the full early access build.

The action takes place on the enormous ESS Starseeker space station — the central hub where players outfit teams, tinker with gear, and run into other explorers. Think of it as base camp: prep missions, swap loadouts, pick a route, etc.

Players can explore unfamiliar planets in groups or go it alone; both approaches are supported. Expect large-scale missions and environmental hazards — aggressive aliens, weird anomalies, and other nasty surprises. Developers note that many systems are tuned for cooperative play, i.e., teamwork influences the station’s standing and opens up new sectors and tech.

System Era Softworks also posted a preliminary roadmap: early access will roll out fresh content, additional expeditions, and expansion of the Starseeker itself. Details will be revealed over time.

STARSEEKER: Astroneer Expeditions will be playable on PC (Steam), Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2, with Russian text localization. It’s also slated to appear in the Game Pass library.
