Call of Duty Players Lead in Cheat Search Queries

A recent survey puts Call of Duty at the top of cheat-related search queries. Out of 1,000 ppl surveyed, 66 said they'd be willing to use cheating software (i.e., 6.6%).

Close behind are Rocket League (2nd) and Rainbow Six: Siege (3rd). The top five also includes Marvel Rivals and PUBG: Battlegrounds. Titles many expect to see—Fortnite, ARC Raiders, Counter-Strike 2—fill out the top ten, while Battlefield 6 sits at 13th.

But there's a catch: downloading cheats often comes with risk. Experts keep pointing out the downside.

“Gamers who hunt for and install cheats frequently disable antivirus tools and hand over elevated permissions to their machines, which can let in sophisticated malware — from data-stealers to RATs (remote access trojans),” specialists warned.

Separately, Activision reportedly had to relinquish the World Series of Warzone naming rights; the event now goes by Call of Duty: Warzone Resurgence Series. It kicked off on February 9 and features a $1.2M prize pool for competing teams.
