Blizzard to Engrave 300 Player Names in Stone: Hardcore Race to Level 99 in Diablo II: Resurrected Begins

The Necromancers of Diablo 2: Resurrected are entering a race for immortality. Blizzard has announced a competition for the most daring players: the first 300 people to level a new hero to level 99 in Hardcore mode will forever be etched into the studio's history. Their names will be carved onto a special monument called the "Grimoire of the Indomitable," which will be installed at the company's California office.

The competition is scheduled to start on February 21st at 4:00 AM Moscow Time. Upon reaching the coveted goal, participants will need to send their BattleTag and a confirming screenshot to the developers—each submission is promised to be checked personally.

The contest coincides with the recent release of an expansion that added the long-awaited Necromancer class to the game. The update also brought unique items, new sets and rune words, updated Terror Zones, battles with the Ancients, and a revamped difficulty system.
