The hardcore shooter Road to Vostok with survival elements gameplay. The price will be 14.99 euros. The full release will be more expensive — approximately 20 euros. Regional pricing has not been announced yet. A demo version is already available.
The story follows a man trying to survive in the terrifying conditions of the border zone between Finland and Russia. The player starts in a relatively safe location and moves towards the city of Vostok on Russian territory. While the character is on their side of the border, death will only result in the loss of equipment and loot. However, once they set foot on the lands of Vostok, death becomes permanent. The greater the reward, the higher the risk.
In addition to shootouts with anarchist bandits, border guards, and military personnel, the gameplay includes trading, world exploration, and setting up shelters. Some are open by default, while keys to others must be obtained. Local traders use barter, not money. Moreover, each seller specializes in a specific type of goods: weapons, food, medicine, furniture. Some can provide additional services, such as healing the hero or fixing a pistol.
The developer has been working on the game for four years. They promise tough challenges, dynamic day-night cycles, and summer-winter transitions. Although surviving to the latter is a challenge in itself. The author also emphasizes that the player is not obligated to follow the story and dive into the fray. One can be content with, for example, a motorboat, fishing, and a cozy refuge on a quiet island.
