DICE has sent out word about a sizable patch, 1.2.2.0, for Battlefield 6; it's scheduled to arrive on March 17. Expect over 300 changes touching gameplay, vehicles, weapons, UI, progression, and the game's net layer.
- Vehicles: Flipped light vehicles will now auto-right, helicopters should land with less wobble, and tanks have stronger braking. In MP, the UH-79's durability has been buffed, and the top speed of certain guided missiles has been toned down.
- Netcode and hit registration: Bullet data transmission has been improved, the Time Nudge interpolation window widened, and the engine will handle more damage events per update — measures meant to cut occurrences of dying behind cover and to make hit registration feel less flaky.
- Weapons and hardware: The CZ3A1 SMG and the automatic vz. 6.1 pistol join the arsenal, plus new attachments such as tactical flashlights and laser sights. A handful of recoil values were tweaked and several reload animations received polish.
- Bots and HUD: AI routines are being tuned so bots drive vehicles (yes, helicopters and ATVs included) with fewer obvious mistakes, while the UI sees dozens of fixes — from profile navigation smoothing out to clearer threat and injury indicators.
- Maps and modes: Bugs have been addressed across Mirak Valley, Siege of Cairo, Eastwood, and Contaminated.
- Context: The second season kicked off in February, and between March 17 and 24 you can play for free, though with some limitations.
