Analyst Banks Sums Up Team Performances at BLAST Bounty Winter in Counter-Strike 2
Host and analyst James "BanKs" Banks discussed the results of the BLAST Bounty Winter tournament for Counter-Strike 2 in a recent podcast. In particular, the expert analyzed the performances of FaZe Clan, Ninjas in Pyjamas, and Aurora Gaming.
On Aurora's Problems: Banks attributed the team's initial failures to the absence of soulfly, who played from home with poor ping and connection. However, the host specifically highlighted a key roster mistake. In his opinion, the team too often goes all-in, with several players pushing a site together, trying to overwhelm the enemy with numbers. At the same time, the tactic doesn't change from round to round, leading to fatal defeats as opponents easily read Aurora's actions.
On FaZe's Defeat: The analyst believes the team has no excuse. In his view, the FaZe that played at the Major and the one at the recent event are completely different teams. Specifically, Banks doesn't understand how the roster could lose the decisive round when they had previously faced a stronger opponent.
On Ninjas in Pyjamas: "They played against Team Liquid in the opening match. They had cairne — a new player. They picked Nuke, and Snappi, it seemed, was too stubborn — that's the feeling." The host accused the team of repetitive decisions and questionable actions in crucial moments. However, he did not rule out that the roster might achieve the necessary synergy in the future.
Recall that the Serbian PARIVISION defeated Team Falcons in the tournament final. The victory was the club's first in the tier-1 segment. The event took place from January 22nd to 25th on LAN in Malta. The teams competed for a prize pool of $452.5 thousand.
