Assassin's Creed Unity to receive 60 FPS support on PS5 and Xbox Series
Ubisoft is rolling out a patch that will enable 60 FPS for Assassin's Creed Unity on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. The update is scheduled for March 5 — about 12 years after the original release.
FYI, higher frame rates were previously limited to PC and to Xbox when using FPS Boost; on PS5 the game stayed locked at 30 FPS.
Unity shipped in 2014 amid serious technical problems; over time many of those issues were patched. People still talk about its parkour. There are famously large NPC crowds. The French Revolution setting gives the whole thing an unmistakable tone (e.g., staging and atmosphere that some players still find striking).
From April 2 to 6, Xbox owners can play Unity for free as part of Xbox Free Play Days. Ubisoft titles are also on sale on Steam, with discounts of up to 90%.
