Amy Rose in "Sonic 4" Will Be Voiced by Kristen Bell
Each installment of the "Sonic the Hedgehog" film franchise introduces new characters from the iconic SEGA game series. The post-credits scene in the third film revealed that Amy Rose will appear in the upcoming movie. As reported by media outlets, the voice actress for the character has already been selected.
Amy Rose is a fearless anthropomorphic hedgehog with pink spines. She never parts with her hefty hammer and is obsessed with Sonic to the point where she sometimes finds herself in unpleasant and even dangerous situations.
In the film adaptation, Amy will be voiced by American actress Kristen Bell. Among her roles are Anna from "Frozen", Veronica Mars in the eponymous detective series, and Lucy in the first Assassin's Creed game and the Ezio Auditore trilogy. Bell has previously worked with Sonic's voice actor Ben Schwartz on multiple occasions, for example, in the series "House of Lies".
The premiere of "Sonic the Hedgehog 4" is scheduled for March 19, 2027. The director will once again be Jeff Fowler, who directed the three previous films in the series.
The three Sonic films have surpassed the $1 billion mark in global box office revenue, with the third film alone earning over $490 million.
