AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D vs. 9800X3D — A Whole 3% Difference in Games
Tomorrow, January 29th, sales begin for the new king of gaming processors — the Ryzen 7 9850X3D. However, leaked benchmark charts have evoked mixed feelings among enthusiasts: the new chip's advantage over the "regular" 9800X3D at 1080p resolution averages a modest 3–4%, with peak gains not even reaching 7%. However, one couldn't really expect much more from just adding 400 MHz to the boost frequency. The biggest performance increase in the leaked testing was observed in CS2.
AMD will ask $499 for the new chip, and its full reviews will be published this afternoon.
