A New Desert Region, Pyranthos, Has Appeared in ARK: Survival Ascended

The developers of ARK: Survival Ascended have released a major update in partnership with Nitrado. Players are in for an immersion into the atmosphere of a new desert region—Pyranthos, full of dangers and mysteries.

Pyranthos is far from a lifeless wasteland. It is a harsh, ancient land where shifting sands conceal forgotten structures, hidden passages, and locations that test both resilience and curiosity. The region is made for explorers but does not forgive carelessness.

In Pyranthos, survivors will find five new artifact caves—each dungeon will be a serious test of survival skills. Among them, the Minotaur Labyrinth Cave stands out with its winding passages and fear-inducing traps, and the Rhyniognatha Drone Nest Cave—a pulsating hive filled with eerie buzzing and countless wings.

New threats lurk at every turn. The King and Queen Scorpions have appeared in the sands—massive and bloodthirsty creatures best avoided without proper preparation. Skeletal enemies roam the dunes—unrested remains of ancient battles, guarding their world with the power of ancient gods and driven by an insatiable hunger.

Among the bosses ready to test players' mettle, Minotarchos stands out—a mythical foe without unnecessary tricks but with strength worthy of legends. Defeating him will bring a generous reward and bring you closer to a confrontation with the legendary Hydra.

An even more serious challenge is Hydraskos the Unbroken, hidden within the ruins of Pyranthos. This five-headed boss will demand team coordination, precise calculation, and impressive firepower: severing heads changes the course of the battle, but success is only possible with complete synchronization of players' actions.

Furthermore, the Manticore, having migrated from Scorched Earth, has settled on the Astraeos boss arena.
